The tubes are capped at the ends, annealed, or normalized. The precision tolerances specified in EN 10305-1 (formerly DIN 2391/C) allow for the use of cutting ring (Ermeto) or clamping ring (Serto) safety fittings. The surfaces are effectively protected from oxidation by a bonding treatment, and the perfect annealing ensures easy cold bending.
