THEseamless pipes, regardless of the type of steel used for their production, the diameter and the thickness, they offer guarantees of resistance and compactness of considerable importance, deriving from being composed of a single piece (from which the tube is generally obtained thanks to amechanical wire drawing process): they are therefore ideal for managing the passage of liquids and gases at high pressures.

Seamless Pipes: Types and Applications

For example, the following are made without welding:

• cold-finished precision tubes made of non-alloy steel (non-alloy steel means steel in which there are no additional components other than iron and carbon);
• black and galvanized water and gas pipes, which in some variants can also be made by welding, but this does not happen if they are high-pressure pipes;
• the boiler tubes, which, due to their use inside pneumatic motors, must withstand the passage of high-pressure gas;
• and various other types of pipes.
